Students of 8608:

We follow a YouTube channel called course called 30 days of fusion here ->

If you want to try these videos and see if CAD is right for you, you should be able to get to "day 8" to be able to consider yourself "not a quitter". Doing up to day 8 will give you the ability to create simple small plates and other objects all over our robot that we could find useful. If you complete day 30 you may have a chance to have lead designer wrote on your sleeves next season.

Additional Mechanism Ideas

When watching the following video, think about the inputs and outputs and what is anchored down. Attempt to, in your head, to reverse the motion, or pickup another shape. re-imagine the mechanism if needed. If something is large, imagine if it was small and fit on our bot, would it work well? This would be abstract thinking, and we can find many great ways to use old ideas in whole new ways.
